# After a Market Resolves

> Learn what happens to your positions after a market resolves

## Winning Positions

After a market resolves in your favor, the payout is added automatically to your cash balance. The resolved position then moves to the History tab. No action is required.

## Closing Losing Positions

When a market resolves against you, the position settles at \$0 and moves to the History tab.

**How to close**:

1. Open your **Portfolio**.
2. Tap **History**, then tap the resolved market.
3. Tap **Burn** to close the position and finalize the loss.
