# Why Is My Account Under Review?

If your Polymarket US account is under review, the system has flagged your information for additional checks, and **our team is reviewing your account** before activation. Reviews are processed as quickly as possible to meet identity and security requirements.

## Why an Account May Be Under Review

* Information mismatch or missing details
* Similar information found on another account
* Additional identity checks required for **Know Your Customer (KYC)** or **anti-money-laundering (AML)** compliance

Once verification is complete, your account activates automatically. You will be notified **in-app** and by **email**.
